Ivan Klimchuk

Hi, I'm Ivan Klimchuk.

I’ve been writing code and building systems since 2008. Over the last 15+ years, I’ve transitioned from a developer to a Team Lead, and now to a Backend Architect in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of Fintech.

My core belief is that engineering should be boringly reliable. I’ve spent my career cleaning up technical debt, stabilizing delivery pipelines, and designing architectures that prioritize business value over developer amusement.

2012 — 2020

Core Maintainer at MODX

Building software is easy; building communities is hard. For 8 years, I served as a Core Maintainer for the MODX project. I organized meetups, managed open-source contributions, and learned how to align diverse, distributed teams around a single technical vision.
